If I were a spice, I would most likely be: Cinnamon...(I'll let you all take stabs at interpreting that before I write the explanation...;) )

The easiest way to get airtime on my Blog Award: Send me IM's like this -
politicaldesi: Oct. 9, 2004 | SYDNEY, Australia (AP) -- Former Midnight Oil singer Peter Garrett completed his transition from rock star to lawmaker Saturday, easily winning a seat for the Labor Party in Sydney.
But the baldheaded Garrett's celebration was muted as his party appeared headed for its fourth straight election loss.
"I'm disappointed clearly that we haven't had a better result around the nation but here ... I've had a good result, we've held this seat," he told Australian Broadcasting Corp. radio.
Garrett, a staunch environmentalist, said he was humbled that voters, particularly Labor supporters, had accepted him and he was ready to get to work.

politicaldesi: The 51-year-old had long used Midnight Oil _ whose best-known songs include "Beds Are Burning" and "Blue Sky Mine" _ as a forum for his anti-nuclear, pro-Aboriginal rights political views. The band broke up in 2002 after 25 years.
politicaldesi: :-D
Editor's note...as I type this, I'm watching VH1 Classics "The Alternative"...as I do pretty much every Sunday night...song that is playing as I copied and pasted that..."Kiss Them for Me" by Siousxie and the Banshees...;)...ironic considering what I was just typing...
Rental car that's currently in my parking garage: 2004 Chevy Trail Blazer LS - T'was fun to drive to Cincy and back...
Thing that I did this weekend that I've never done before: Nothing that falls into this category this week, but I *did* go to my ex-girlfriend's parents' condo (they live down the street) to drop off some serving dishes they left over at my place when they were hanging out with my parents....it was cool - they fed me and it was good to see them...a tad surreal since I hadn't been to their place in maybe 2-3 years...her loss, right? ;)
Shameless sedgeway into next topic Award goes to...: Me...speaking of girlfriends and failed relationships, I've found out within the past 2 months that 4 girls I know have had/have crushes on me, and have come forward and let me know either subtlely or not-so-subtlely...extremely surprising to me, and unfortunately for whatever reason, I can't reciprocate their "crush"...so in essence, that means in their eyes that the friendship is over - and that backlash has seeped over into a few of their friends who "can't be friends with me the same way since 'X, Y, Z' can't handle it..."...Positive K was right - "Well, if we can't be lovers, than we can't be friends"...what a strange world we live in...
Latest and greatest business idea: Came up with it while eating dinner with Sundeep and Sadhana tonight...all I can say right now is that it involves 10 G's and dinner...;)...more as this idea progresses or regresses...
Current Health Status: Healthy, but think I've got a little touch of a throat thing after sharing dessert with Sundeep and Sadhana...I could use some TLC...

You really don't get it, do you? It's not about you. It's about ME. It's about survival techniques. It's about not getting burned again and again and again.
And by the way, it's "subtly."

Yeah - I need to have my assistant start proofreading my blogs...although, I probably don't want her reading this stuff...and besides - she works hard enough...why saddle her with silly tasks?

What I want to know is why can't you reciprocate the crush?
Posted by: ranj | October 16, 2004 at 04:13 PM
I can't reciprocate because there is either 1) no chemistry, 2) no physical attraction, 3) I can only take so much of the person, 4) Our lifestyles are way too different (fast lane vs. slow lane, adventure vs. passive living, etc), 5) I eat meat ;), 6) I cook meat in the house, 7) I'll never give up any food I like ( not because I'm stubborn, but just because I think it's a silly reason), 8) they write like shit
just kidding about #8 :)
